If you enjoy making things and like the chain screens we have a range of self assembly kits that come with all the components required to make a screen in two sizes, up to 120cm wide and 210cm high (47" x 83"high).
Assembly is simple and takes only 30minutes.
Simply cut the rail with a hacksaw to the desired width to cover your door opening.
Fit the screws to the top of your door frame 40mm from the bottom edge and leave them protruding 2-3 mm. Hook your head rail over the screw heads. If you have purchased the fixing strip for UPVC frames then screw this to the top of your door frame and simply hook the head rail on

Open the chain link sufficiently to fit in the first hole of the head rail. Make sure there are no kinks in the chain and open up a link that leaves the chain approximately 25mm from the bottom of the door frame.

Repeat until you have made your door screen.
Finally, with long nose pliers close up the links where it attaches to the head rail fly screen fixing
Your fly screen comes complete with fixing screws but if you require a more attractive alternative or you are fitting onto a UPVC frame we recommend the stainless steel fixing brackets, shown left
